Meet Daniel Ackerman, Principal at Alternative Education! Ackerman is graduate of Dodge City High School (class of 1990). He attended St. Mary of the Plains College until its closing. He graduated in 1995 from Benedictine College, Atchison, KS with a BA in History & a minor in Secondary Education. He earned his Graduate Degree in 2006 from Washburn University, Topeka, KS, with a Master Education in Educational Administration.

Q: What is your favorite part about your job?

A: Getting to work with students that just need a different way of doing things. I enjoy everything about the Alternative School from the students to the staff. 

Q: What do you like to do in your free time?

A: Spend time with family, play golf, kayak, travel.

Q: Any fun facts about you?

A: Just a Dodge City boy that is back in his hometown giving back to the community that gave me so much.
